BAAL TEASIG Spotlight webinars focus on a particular aspect of applied linguistics and how it impacts upon language testing, evaluation and assessment. In these sessions, we aim to foster discussion and reflection in an informal environment that is welcoming and supportive.

​The webinar starts with an invited speaker who sets up some questions for the audience and discusses a particular area of applied linguistics and its relationship with language assessment.

After this, we variously have a combination of further presentations from academic, commercial representatives and students. This is often followed by an invited panel discussion, and we round up the session with a wider discussion of the issues covered and any other thoughts that the participants might have for consideration and future research.
